Hello again, After 6 weeks of badgering, it is now Crozza's turn to write the blog... Arequipa After Machu Picchu we managed one more night in Cusco before jumping aboard a plane to Arequipa, Peru's 2nd city and a very pretty one at that. We spent the first day chilling, Lee and I went for a romantic meal where we were serenaded by some fellas with panpipes, charangas and a guitar while we got blitzed on Pisco Sours - a lethal bevvy containing strong alcohol and egg. Don't worry, it tastes better than it sounds and after a few I was [View Full Entry]

As per our last blog entry we met up with my sis and her boyfriend, Chris, in Puno. We were able to join their group the next day to travel around Lake Titicaca. We sailed for 3 hours to Taquile Island where we did a mini hike and saw plenty of locals in traditional dress. At this point we were at 4000 metres above sea level and I made a horrendous error by forgetting to put suncream on my face. Needless to say I burnt the bake off myself which left me a tomato red combined with lovely scabs on my [View Full Entry]

After another 16 hour overnight bus journey from the border town of Coromba, we eventually made it into Bolivia. We had an overnight stop in Santa Cruz planned, however upon arrival, Esteban informed us that there was political unrest in Sucre which meant nobody could come in or out of the city the following day. We decided to miss out our night in Santa Cruz and fly directly to Sucre. That night we got fairly intoxicated in a gringo hangout called Joyride. The next day we met the new members of our group. All sound enough, some sounder than others, some [View Full Entry]

Hi there folks, apolgies for the delay in blog entries. We´ve hardly had a day free but here we are . Well we made it to Bonito after a 16 hour horrificly bumpy minibus ride (which wasn´t helped by the fact that one of our comrades kept farting every 5 seconds...in an enclosed space...you know what I mean!!). Prior to starting the journey we spent an hour in Subway waiting for about 86 employees to make 3 take out sandwiches. Mine (Neil), the italian BMT had to be scrapped twice whilst the "sandwich engineers" free styled on the ingredients. Once we [View Full Entry]

We´re on the march with Moyesie´s army.... Special thanks must go to my Wembley comrades, Stebbo in particular, for the kick by kick commentary of the penalty shoot out. I was shaking like a rabid dog for each text to arrive, and celebrated with a few shots of banana rum when the news came in. Have since watched the shoot out 5 times on you tube! Just managed to watch the chelsea everton match live too, so not doing too bad on the footy front right now! We arrived at Iguasso Falls at 8am after gruelling bus journey. Quick bite to [View Full Entry]

Travel blog part 2 - we have entered ¨the sticks¨. Internet speed around here is about 2 bytes per minute and if this post isn´t published before Sunday then you know my temper will have got the better of me and the computer will have been launched out of the window. My mood has not been helped by the fact I was informed this morning that we set off at 11 am tomorrow for a 6 hour bus jouney - Everton kick off at midday local time so I will be dependent on text messages from the usual suspects once again.... 10 days in and we´re having a blast. Seen all the sights including sugar loaf mt, the statue of Christ the Redeemer, the Maracana football stadium, hippie markets, Copacabana and Ipanema beach, Parque Nacional de Tijuca (hardcore do you want more jungle!!). I had to put my northface jacket on throughout the whole jungle hike in soaring heat and humidity as was terrified of any form of creepie crawly coming near me - sweated buckets! Having said that Neil almost jumped out of his skin when a leaf landed on his head!! Saw some crazy monkey things, and some marmosets but [View Full Entry]
