Let's see...I'm from Texas but 'temporarily' living in the twin cities in MN. My passion is traveling...love it...can't imagine not doing it. Traveling has become a part of me. Living abroad opened my eyes to parts of the world I would have never seen; the suffering, the poor, and most of all the lost.
I currently work for Praying Pelican Missions where I am a trip leader & missions consultant to Belize, Jamaica & soon to be Mexico & beyond. I miss living abroad dearly. In America, we live in a tiny bubble and forget there is a whole world out there. Matthew 28 & Romans 15...check it out.

“Here am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:8

See where my travels have led me. The more I see, the more I want to go & see more.

Skydiving So spring FINALLY came to Minnesota...it's about time!! Let's see...what's been going on, not a whole lot. Like I told you, Emily & I have been training for a 10-mile race. And the race was yesterday. It was along the Mississippi River in St. Paul, gorgeous run! And the weather was perfect running weather! Her friend, Christina, ran the race too! It wasn't bad at all, considering we didn't train as much as we should have. The last 2 miles seemed really long, but overall, not bad. And I'm a bit sore today, but not as sore as I thought I'd be. The thing I'm most excited to tell you about is that a group of us went skydiving today for the first time!! It was INCREDIBLE!!! So we did like a 10 minute info ... read more

Texas It only took being back in Minnesota for a couple of weeks in the winter until I was ready to leave again....to a much warmer place! I went to Texas for a few days. Got to see my mom's new place, hang out with friends, and my dad came in town from Enid. Then my mom, nana & I headed down to Houston to see my bro. He recently moved there. Was so fun! We ate out at some amazing restaurants. We cooked out at my bro's place & my cousin Cody, Aunt Lyn & KD came over. I got to see one of my good friends from college, Jill (Willard), it was so good seeing & catching up with her!! Belize Then I headed to Belize...last time I'll be there for awhile :( We ... read more

Beginning of Trip; Italy & Switzerland Rome Bellano Milan Venice Lugano, Swiss And then...Western Mediterranean Cruise So, after the Belize/Jamaica trip I went back to MN for 2 days. Enough time to do laundry, repack & head out again. This time...purely for holiday/vacation! One of my roommates, Becky & I started our journey mid Feb & headed to Italy. We landed in Rome on Feb 15th. I have to admit, I was most excited about seeing Rome! We were only going to spend one day there because we had plans to head up north the Milan where Becky's long lost friend, Lucia lives. Unfortunately, we had a minor setback. If you want details, ask me. But basically we didn't get to see any of Rome. Only the airport & the car impound. Yeah...I'm sure you ... read more

1/19/08 So 2 days ago was officially the coldest day I have ever experienced...& the same has been true for each day that follows. In some parts of MN it got down to -40 F!! That is just insane!!! Now I absolutely can't wait for Belize & Jamaica in a couple of weeks!! About a week ago I got back from Belize. We had an amazing trip in Bermudian Landing...a village that I have become so close with! Sister Dahlia & Pastor Floyd & their 2 precious daughters; Micracle & Abigail, and of course Melissa. It was a rather 'rough' trip because we slept on the floor & had NO running water. So, we washed either in the river or with a bucket of water, & we flushed the toilet by pouring a bucket of water ... read more

MINNESOTA Settling in to life in the mid-west....in Minne-SOODA! Sounds pretty random, huh?! Never did I think I would move here! The idea of going to MN never even crossed my mind in the past...& now I'm living here...crazy! (although I'm really not here all that much). But I love it! Every where you turn, there's a lake. And the trees in the fall are gorgeous! So much nature & wild life here. The other day I saw an albino squirrel & I already told you about deer in our yard! My mom, nana & aunt pam came up to visit at the beginning of Oct. It was my nana's 72 birthday so we got to celebrate it all together! We went to Stillwater (a really cute, quaint town next to the St. Croix River ... read more

So my brother & I turned 26!!! NO!! It sounds SO old! I don't like it at all! I feel like I should be 22. You're only as young as you feel, right? I'll just keep telling myself that! No, it's cool, I love where God has put me & what he's doing in my life right now. So, my mom treated my brother & I to New Orleans for our 26th bday. My Aunt Pam joined us. I had never been before so it was really cool. We had a bit of a surprise. A couple days before leaving, we found it out it was the annual 'Southern Decadence' Labor Day weekend!! The weekend we would be there. Of course, out of ALL the weekends to go during this huge, international event. Go figure. I ... read more

I don't even have the words to describe how amazing my last week was in Belize. I spent the entire summer in Belize, it was all incredible, but the last week was completely the work of God. So I'll try to make a long story short of what happened last week & then I'll fill you in on the summer of missions in Belize! Last week's trip was a group of dentists & a doctor that came to serve in a village called La Democracia. God started planning this trip a long time ago, before the group even knew about it! The group is from Seattle, WA. They were suppose to go to Honduras this summer. But a tragic accident happened & they weren't able to go. So they contacted PPM & asked if they could ... read more

Better late than never. I had absolutely no time to update my blog this summer in Belize. It was crazy busy! Anyway, started off the spring in Belize, with 2 trips, one in Bermudian Landing & the other in my favorite village, Hattieville. Got to serve with Pam Dyer, who is from Hattieville, who is becoming one of my good friends! She brings so much energy to the church! It was an amazing week in Hattieville...lives were forever changed! Moving through the spring, I went to the twin cities & Duluth in Minnesota for meetings & training for the upcoming trips in the summer in Belize & Jamaica! I was able to spend the night with Megan, which was SO great seeing her! I miss her dearly. Amy & I took a vacation to Seattle & ... read more

Belize...home...so familiar...so welcoming...I can't tell you how happy I was when my feet stepped on to Belizean soil. Not that I didn't like Honduras, because I truly did. I was just ready for friends, fellowship, English! So I had a couple of days to relax and do a little trip set up before Jennie and Jason (my co-workers) arrived. The village we were ministering in was Dangriga. A quite, calm village right on the coast. It's about a 2.5 hour drive south of Belize City. And that drive is absolutely gorgeous, driving through mountains passing villages. I was super excited to see Jennie and Jason! I had spent too much alone time in Honduras. Even though I enjoy and need alone time, I had had enough, and that says a lot coming from me. I ... read more

First Week 1-9-07 So I´m here in La Ceiba, Honduras. After being on the road the past week I feel like I´m now on the home stretch! It´s nice to settle down and unpack my things. Although it's the 3rd largest city in Honduras, the city itself doesn´t have a lot to offer, but it´s surroundings do! Just outside La Ceiba there are tons of beautiful sites! 1-14-07 I finished my first week of spanish classes at Escuela de Espanol Pico Bonito . Learning slowly but surely. My class is 4 hours long, Monday thru Friday. It´s one on one with my profesora, Amparo. My family that I´m living with is really nice! They have 2 daughters, Lisa and Marisal, both in their 20s. My senora, Dunya is the sweetest lady and she cooks amazing food! ... read more
