Well I haven't written in forever, and I have a free hour now so I figured I would give a brief overview of the ohhhh past month or so of my life. :) Well first of all, we have Semana Santa, Fallas, and Mom and Aunt Cyndi's visit!!! Just a really quick entry because I have some good photos...we took a daytrip to hike the ancient roman ruins and castle of Sagunto yesterday and it was fabulous!! Loved all of it, even the train ride out because we got to see some of the Spanish countryside and the train ran along the beach so that was amazing as well. Hey everyone! The events of this past week are that Molly and I took a side trip to LONDON!! The flights were really cheap on a student airline called RyanAir and we got to stay with one of Molly's friends from her university in the US so it was relatively cheap to go...which was a definite plus. It is also a place that we are not going to be able to make it to when we do the Eurotrip at the end, so it was great to check another place to see of of my huge list! We left Friday morning at 8 AM (too early) in a bus for the 4 hour ride to Barcelona. I found this list of things you know if you have lived in Spain and I thought it was hilarious that I already know what they are talking about in half of the things. Ok so I know that I arrived in Valencia a week ago, but venga(come on), i have been doing a ton of things since i got here and finally feel situated in mi casa here and my español is improving immensely. A downfall to this is that sometimes now I forget the English word for things, or even worse spell them wrong...its driving me crazy!! After our little day trip to El Escorial and Valle de los Caidos, we had a 5 hour bus ride to TOLEDO!! I most definitely slept for that whole thing too. When we arrived in Toledo, we were all awestruck. Toledo is absolutely the most gorgeous place I have yet to see in my life! We were let out of the bus at the top of the hill, before going down onto the peninsula of Toledo to take pictures. It was amazing. But then came the hard part. Ok. So when we left Madrid after like 2 hours of sleep, we took about an hour bus ride to a little town outside of Madrid, called El Escorial. It was crazy beautiful and a tiny little community in the mountains.
