amazing 10 days in Paris....we were staying in Sacre Coeur area, Hotel Montmarte - cute and so French that i would come back there again and again...such a good location as well, with just a short walk to the Cathedral and Moulin Rouge area;-) we spent all days walking everywhere as that is the best way to see a lot and even though we did not know most of the time were we were it was just so romantic and fun ;-) we would stop at any small bar or restaurant to try some fabulous food or have a coffee and then move on to see some local attraction mentioned in Lonely Planet. Highlights musts be: huge drink and Place Pigalle, best salads ever in a small pub near Sacre Core( you can find the name ... read more

Wonderful Day Out We dont really like to sit at home when the weather is nice, probably like most people ;-) Living in London gives you so many opportunities around that you can simply roll a dice for it and you still will be very pleased with your choice;-) We bought this book in charity shop called 'English Gardens' and we were flipping pages of it one day when we come across this beautiful place just a short drive from us. Hever Castle and Gardens. it was called. The Castle dates from to the 13th century and it's land spreads across acres including its award winning gardens. The most famous inhabitant was Anne Boleyn (beheaded wife of Henry The 8th) where she spent her childhood. This estate was added to the Tudors wealth and later on ... read more

...Beautiful long weekend trip by car to Luxembourg....we took another couple of friends with us and met another couple at the spot...really chilled out place, no rush, no city like scenes and amazing views on the way.... The highlight was probably Vianden Castle where some big screen films were shot...it was almost surreal as it stands at the hill with it's towers just like in children ferry tales;-) again views and scenery around are amazing, at the foothill of the castle there are some small coffee shops and ice cream parlous;-) Could be ideal few days out for many families... ... read more

Tomek flew from UK to surprise me for my B-day and we took a plane to Goa....did not plan it so it was so exciting .... even more as we have never seen any of the exotic beaches before.... his luggage was lost on the way to Delhi so he appeared from the customs with only huge teddy bear and his wallet hahha we reached Goa airport and were a bit shocked as this place was not as traditional as Rajasthan - with women wearing European clothing, catholic churches and so on.... still great but different.... we ended up at Palolem beach - recommended by our friends and we went shopping for Tomek's clothes...winter in Jaipur meant cold weather in the night and mild temp during a day but Goa was reaching around 40C during a ... read more

Fulfilling the Dream It is really difficult to describe the feeling when you stand in front of the Taj Mahal....maybe it is just me (although all the people I know that have seen it had it too) but it is so magnificent, majestic, beautiful and romantic.... no wonder it is one of the World Wonders....hard to believe it is a tomb.... I have seen it twice and I did it at two different times of a day....First one very early in the morning - it was maybe 6 am when rickshaw driver took us to the river bank and we could see a spectacle of mist falling down and unveiling the majestic building....amazing and even though it was not intentional to go there at that time (it was mostly due to the early arrival of the ... read more

How it all started ...it all started with me (Beata) having received a book on my 10th Bday...'The most amazing places in the world'- the title quoted. I scanned through it and I remember exactly that I stopped at the picture of Taj Mahal.... Growing up in Poland was great if you had small to medium life expectations and travelling to so distant places was not the easiest way to do;-) I thought back then that I would never be able to see Taj Mahal and that is how India became my dream .... Europe has change since then, life has changed and things like travel became more and more accessible....as an Uni student I once stopped in front of a poster quoting 'Do you wanna go to India for internship?- sign up now'...and this is ... read more
