Tomorrow marks the end of 9 months being on the road. It is bitter sweet because I know we are all ready to head home to be reunited with our loved ones but we have become such a big family that I am also dreading that day at the airport when we have to say all of our see-ya-laters. These past 9 months have taught me so much. Taught me how to love, becoming patient, thankful and grateful for each and every blessing God provides. He is always so faithful. Looking back now I can see the little things here and there He had orchestrated to bring us to where we are now. We have laughed together, Cried together, and maybe even argued a little bit but most importantly we have all stuck together. We have ... read more

As you're standing at the ledge getting ready to jump, your heart is pounding, looking down at the ground knowing that you are 50 ft in the air, palms are sweaty and the platform is shaking because its windy. As you count to three you are still hesitant to jump even though you are secured in a harness. Finally after much convincing you close your eyes and jump!!! The first time you are stepping out of your comfort zone is when life starts. Imagine doing the same routine over and over and never getting the excitement of something new. We were meant to go out into the world and preach the gospel and making disciples of all nations. But how can we do that is we are standing still?? Our feet are beautiful if only they'd ... read more

I wish I was more determined to blog more but honestly it is hard to find the time to just sit and relax. As of right now we have just finished our 6th month of tour!! Hallelujah! We have 4 more months to go and we have visited 9 out of 14 states. Texas is state #9 and it has been such a blessing to us. Not only have they blessed the children with a beautiful Christmas, we have gotten many children sponsored in Africa! I believe we have gotten almost 700 kids sponsored so far for the whole tour. Which is absolutely amazing!! I am so grateful and thankful for everyone who has spent their time, energy, funds, and love to making this tour happen. God has really been working on my heart in being ... read more

As the leaves begin to change, days become shorter and nights become colder we prepare ourselves to enter into a new season. Winter is my least favorite season. I have grown up around snow all my life and since I have been traveling I can truly say that I can definitely live without snow. But the funny thing is, my kids are praying for nothing BUT snow! They have only seen it in movies but they dream of building snowmen and having snowball fights. The things that make some people become weary are things that make some people smile and become joyus! So as we enter into these winter months let us remember that our relationship with God doesn't have to become cold and dormant as well. There is a time and a season for everything ... read more

This Entry is Dedicated entirely to those who open up not only their homes but their hearts to the team and I while on the road. Our tours couldn't run if it wasn't for you beautiful people taking a leap of faith by having strangers stay in your homes. Especially when children are involved ;) These wonderful people are our HOST FAMILIES. When we tour, we need places to lay our heads for the night and warm places to spend time together. Before we head to a new area, people come together within the congregations of the churches and decide if they can host the 30 of us. God always puts us right where we are supposed to be :) we get so blessed when we meet wonderful, caring, loving, and genuine people. Our team stays ... read more

Waking up to smiling faces and unlimited hugs are one of my favorite reasons why I love to travel with these children. The kids truly do exemplify the fruits of the spirit and it is so magnetic. Not only are they extremely well behaved but very genuine and loving. When you jump aboard the Asante Bus you become what is called an "Auntie" or "Uncle". Which means basically a Parent to these 22 children. Every couple nights we stay in Host homes which means people within the congregation of the churches we are performing at will put together a group of families that will house us for the few nights we are in the area. So these kids may be with a little over 100 different families before they head home. It is one of their ... read more

Today marks the first month since tour has officially started. We have traveled to two different states, had pizza 12 times, and the kids are still praying to see snow! :) That time will come but hopefully more later on. The kids are starting to become more comfortable with our culture, foods, and the American busy lifestyle. See for me, I like being on African time. Sometimes it may get me into trouble but the kids don't seem to mind it :) They're favorite foods so far are pizza, hamburgers, and French fries..... Haha welcome to America. They are going to do just fine here. With my schedule being so busy I never have time to catch up on news or anything going on in the outside world because it is like I'm living in a ... read more

There are a few days in a person’s life that are what I believe to be the important. The first, is the day we are born, on that day people celebrate and rejoice over our birth. The second is the day we come to the Lord, that day is a day of rebirth, a day when the old man dies and we become a new creation in Christ Jesus. On That day we receive the ministry of reconciliation, on that day, God, all of the heavens, and the holy Angels rejoice over the finding of that which was lost. This is the day we begin to realize and desire to walk in the destiny planned for us in our Father’s will. The third most important day is the day we pass from this world. The day ... read more
