Well, it's been a bit too long since I've been able to update. I last left off talking about my experiences in the forests with deer and day trips to Campbell River. Alot has happened since then. I've been through Tofino, en route to Nanaimo, and then southbound to Victoria. From there I high-tailed it back across the interior of Bc to Nelson, my previous home. So that's where I am currently, but I've still much to report. I think I left on a cliff hanging note about my day trip to Campbell River. So I guess I'll start from there! [View Full Entry]

Well hello there guys and gals. How's everyone doing? I don't know why I asked that because there is no real way for you to tell me how you are at this moment, well, I guess you could leave a comment telling me how you're doing, ah well. So as you can see by my location I have relocated myself to the lovely town of Tofino. I arrived here yesterday by bus and was feeling so awful that I checked into a motel and didn't leave for the rest of the day. Pretty lame I know, but I was feeling -that- [View Full Entry]

Well hello there humans. I thought it would be alot longer before I was able to make a real update, but it turns out there is a pretty inexpensive internet café in a town called Courtnay which is next door to Comox. There isn't all too much to report yet. So I guess I'll go with what I've got so far. The airplane trip wasn't bad. Actually it was pretty nice. It was clear skies for most of the flight. So I could see most of the ground from the airplane. Those things sure do fly high. Once I landed I [View Full Entry]

Well, it's been awhile since I've used this fun little blog. I guess nothing has really happened in the passed long while that would require me to update it. Well, now there's something to write about. As most of you know I'll be going on another adventure this year. This time I'll be going on something a bit less crazy compared to India. I'll be heading out to the wonderful British Columbia coast to go on a walk of great distance. (I know most of you know what I'm doing, but I figure I'd type it all out for my records [View Full Entry]

Yeah yeah yeah, I know that my location says I'm in Kelowna, but guess what??? I'm not! The previous plans that you may have heard about have fallen through. p.s sorry it took so long for me to make an update. It's pretty annoying for me to get online. Soon though! I'll have the internet eventually! Yeah, the previous plans were to move to Salmon Arm and get a place there, but upon arrival to Salmon Arm, it was rainy as hell and apparently they had a -2% Rental Expectancy or something like that for houses. Yeah I know! How the [View Full Entry]

Well folks, as you can see, my location has changed once again. I have once again joined the Canadian population. The exact location is a bit wrong, but that's because they don't have Chilliwack in the TravelBlog database. But that's where I am now, Chilliwack, British Columbia. Let me tell you, it's great to be back. The air smells fantastic, the streets are clean, I'm not afraid to go outside, and I'm SURROUNDED BY MOUNTAINS AGAIN!!! My precious precious mountains. *Drool* This morning people were talking about how it's such a lovely day outside, but of course Sandi and I are [View Full Entry]

Ahoy ahoy once again. Sorry about the lack of updates recently, it's just Sandi and I have settled into our own cozy nook of a place. As you can see I'm no longer in Benaulim, I am in Palolem! Another pretty sweet beach. This one is alot more populated with tourists, so Sandi and I don't get as many bad looks as we have been. There's alot more activities to do here than in Benaulim. Every once in a while Sandi and I take up a nice soothing (and physically exausting) canoe ride on the Arabian Sea. The people who rent [View Full Entry]

The Anjuna Files Asia » India » Goa » Benaulim
What is Anjuna might you ask? Well, Anjuna is a city, and like most of the popular cities in Goa, it is a beach city. It is also home of the largest flea market in Goa. The Anjuna Market is held every Wednesday, I'm not sure what time it opens and closes, all I know is that I get on my hour long bus ride at 9am and leave the market at 4pm. When they say it's Goa's largest flea market, they're not kidding. There is well over 100 stalls; for the most part boasting the same merchandise, but that's where [View Full Entry]

So yeah, I still have some time on the internet. So I guess I'll just respond to some of the things I've been getting comments about. Mom: yes, there are cows everywhere. We're talking, right in the middle of the "highway". Ryan: I didn't catch the journalists last name. I think Sandi has it. His first name is Josh. And the curry, believe it or not. Curry does not exist in India. Curry is just the blend of crazy spices they use. But holy crap, they have some spicey stuff here. I think you and Marc wanted to know how the [View Full Entry]

So we safely made it to Goa. The train let us off in Margao, Goa. We stayed in a nice air conditioned hotel for the night. It get alot hotter the mroe south you go (well duh). But anyhow, after that first night we sat around watching english saturday morning cartoons and then took a taxi to Benaulim, which is where we are now. It is sooo much different than the rest of India. Not nearly as many beggers and scammers. Sure they exist here, but not as many. Our first feelings in Benaulim have been the happiest since we've arrived [View Full Entry]
