Both were not better and stayed in bed all day, quickly popped out for some food and water and moved rooms so we weren't on the millionth floor without a lift and only the first without a lift. Bed ridden all night also.... read more

Early we head to the Vietnamese embassy to sort our visa. We had both not slept well and woke with really bad bellies, something had not agreed with us. Early we head to the Vietnamese embassy to sort our visa, then jumped on a bus to Phnom Pehn which was uncomfortable to say the least! When we arrived we got a tuk tuk to a hotel and got to our room and straight to bed hopefully to be better for the next day!... read more

A tad hungover we rose and had breakfast. Then jumped on (a very rickety) tuk tuk and went (along a very bumpy road) to a big waterfall. It was so hot it was obscene! It was nice to have a little wade in the water and sit and take in the scenery. We had photos taken with all the children from the local village who all seemed to be having lots of fun there and meeting us. The rickety, bumpy trip back was slow but then I was ready for evening beers and late a sunday roast and some nice wine!!! A good day, despite the disagreement between my belly and the remnants of whisky, beer and vodka in our gut!... read more

After a big fat fry up we head down for a day on the beach. We lazed around all day and had some beers, pizza and fantastic chips. As the sun began to fall we head back up from the beach, got changed and went to Mick & Craigs for some Samosa's, and a really good curry. We chilled at the bar of our place for a while and had a chat, then around 12 we head back to the beach for the full moon party. We had a little party, got drunk on (buckets)big cocktails, and had a paddle in the sea. We scaled the sloped dust track back home and went to bed!... read more

After breakfast we were on the road again early. Our destination Sihanoukville, on the southcoast. We finally arrived about midday, instantly on arrival the taxi drivers ran over to the bus like a swarm of flies trying to carry your bags and take you to a guest house they were likely to get commission from all was a little crazy especially now the heat had seemed to of been pumped up a few more degrees, edging to the 40's. We got a taxi to beach road and finally picked a spot called Monkey Republic, a funky little place with lots of small wicker roofed blue bungalows. After a relaxing beer we walked to the beach, on route being offered drugs, sex and you name it they had it. The beach was absolutely breathtaking how beautiful it ... read more

After nearly a fortnight of relaxing and having a break from the life of constantly rolling on, it was time to roll on once again! We caught the early bus to Trat, then another staright to the Cambodain border. On arrival at the border we completed all the paperwork to pass through and headed through to no-mans land. Instantly being bombarded by sales people offering all kinds of services, things that I daren't even repeat. Entering Cambodian territory it was like a different world, very hectic and hard work. We completed our visa's and were pestered constantly until agreeing to get in a car to go into town. Town was Kaoh Kong and not what I would deem a town but a big village, with dust roads, no pavements, very few cars but lots of bikes. ... read more

After a long sunning session at the pool we head back and got ready for a night in Pattaya. We caught the tuk tuk taxi into the centre, looked around some stalls and shops and took in all the seedyness that is Pattaya! Then we head to a good steak house. We had big fat steaks still steaming and fresh from that day I think, they were amazing and had lots of mushroom and pepper sauce. Loads of beers later and time to head back we caught a taxi driven by a crazy dude. ... read more

We chilled at the pool again today before having a look around the market and saw some snakes which the vendors had cunningly secured them by posts stuck to the floor; seriously secure and with no chance of being bitten, NOT!! We also saw all sorts of bizarre food, including locust, worms, frogs internal organs, and poached things I dont even know what they were! In the night we ate some spicy sausage from the market with a mix of local veggies, it was pretty good and washed down with several Changs followed by several Anchors.... read more
