We landed in Lisbon, it is funny to see another country speaking the same language(it was our first time). The English speakers probably never have this feeling since they are so used to seeing everything in their own language all over, but for us it was pretty funny! We took a bus to the city center to see more similarities with Brazil. Not only the language, but the architecture is the same! The houses, buildings, churches, streets, all reminds us of Brazil. It's impossible to deny that they are our patriarchs. It's like being in a traditional quarter of São Paulo. [View Full Entry]

Italy. What can we expect from it? Gondolas and gondoliers singing "Oh sole mio!", Gladiators and of course PASTA and PIZZA! None of this happened. (It is all there but not for our budget!) We arrived in Venice. For this visit we have no more than 24 hours and we still have to sleep, since the last night we spent on the train. At the Venice train Station we bought the Orange Card (or was it Blue?), a ticket that gives you unlimited water transport around town plus some museum entrances included. It was a good deal, we took the water [View Full Entry]

Everybody knows that Holland is a must in any European trip, so here we are, arriving in Amsterdam. Of course we were curious to see how works the prostitution, the drugs etc. - Don't blame me, everybody also think Brasilians walk in bikinis the whole day and dance samba before they can walk. That's what is stereotype for! - The first subject to investigate was the Red Light District, just because our hostel was right in the centre of it! I thought it would be a strange place full of people hiding themselves and sneaking into the doors, but to my [View Full Entry]

Now in front of the computer, more than three years later, we remember it as it had happened yesterday, both of us super exited meeting in the airport in Frankfurt. It had been more than 2 years since we'd seen each other. Four weeks before we had contacted each other and agreed to do a backpacker trip around Europe for a month. Fernando wanted a break from his agricultural job in Brazil and wanted to stay away for a while. Claudio, after working almost one year on a project in US, finally had the chance to take his vacation. The trip [View Full Entry]

This is Vincent. To be honest the idea of having an entry for friends we made on our way, came from his web site(www.planetvince.com). This friendly Irish guy, with his 40 centimeter beard, is always the central attraction for the locals when walking on the streets!! His Irish accent is almost incomprehensible, but fits very well with his role of a drug dealer in the movie he took part in when he was in India. He is a very funny guy, but he's always complaining about being bored.... hehehe. We first met in Istanbul and then in Olympus, where we started [View Full Entry]

We are always keen to know more locals, specially backpackers that are not on the road. Have nice conversation about traveling and exchanging experiences, everything tasting nice local beers. So, if you would like only to drink a beer with us or even have two crazy Brazilians staying over (following the principle of couchsurf.com or hospitalityclub.org), we would love to be invited...hehehe. We are not area restricted, so you can invite from anywhere in the world. Leave in the comment area of this post your invitation and for sure we will be with you once we arrive in your city/country.
