Finding a falls that’s not in the internet is difficult. Finding a falls with a given wrong direction is even more difficult. But lo and behold, here comes my ever resilient landscape photography group, CL11, we found what the universe conspired us not to. Hehehe! Well, not exactly the universe… Just some people. Yes, some people. Anyway, we got there. Safe. Marveled at its beauty. Took photos. Got back. Still safe. That’s what mattered. Malicboy Falls, also known for some locals as Pulong Giting Falls, is within the Municipality of Pagbilao, Province of Quezon. Since my CL11 group had the entire day to wait for the sunset, we decided to go and find this falls and shoot it. Christmas in the Philippines

My parents have been asking to see photos so I will just write briefly about my trip. Spent a week in Pagbilao/Lucena to see family. I ate way too much as usual, but managed to eat everything I wanted thanks to Tita Menchie. I spent a lot of time with my lola and got her a lot of presents. I think her favorite was the hot water bottle. I'll have to get her different covers for it while I can get them here in Japan. I had my students write her and Tita Menchie Christmas cards and Lola loved them. She read through almost all of them. Philippines!! Well, more specifically, Pagbilao!!! Nothing too exciting has been going on here...most days I chill at home with my Lola (Grandma to you English speaking folk). Christmas was aiight...had to get up super early to get ready for church. The mass was gonna start at 8:30am, but of course you gotta get up early to shower and eat breakfast. I brought clothes that were a little more dressed up, but it turns out that I didn't even really need to dress up that much! I could have gotten away with just jeans and the red top I brought... I was a little miffed, but hey it was Christmas and I think it's always better to be more dressed up than not.
