I was planning to write an updated blog about our summer motorcycle trip. I had planned it in my head to give a constant update about our travels, our stops, and place in images on the blog, whenever we stay at a hotel to rest the night. But that did not happen because that motorcycle trip would tire us and once we get to the hotel, there’s not much energy left to write and upload pictures. We’d be on the road for hours and hours nonstop while Ivan would drive and I would be at the back of the motorcycle, holding the digital camera I borrowed from my mom, taking pictures of something interesting along the way. The moment we’d get to an inn, we’d throw off our bags, rest for a few minutes, take a ... read more
I started this blog because there are about 10 days left before the big trip my boyfriend and i had planned for about 6 months now. This is not our first motorcycle trip but this one has got to be a real challenge for us - to go on a motorcycle trip to Luzon. I can't stop thinking about it. Twelve days away from our hometown to go and explore the northern region on a motorcycle. All I know is that I am excited, and I know that he is too, which is why he told me to start this blog to express the excitement that we feel. I can't wait to be in a new place to meet new people, taste different local dishes, and take pictures with my camera. The great thing about all ... read more
I made it to Cebu with no problems. Not that I thought there would be problems but I was quite nervous about traveling alone in Asia. It was great to see the guy with my name on his sign at the airport and to have a safe ride to the resort. Although once there they said that the taxis are all safe too. That’s OK, I felt better having a car waiting for me. I got settled and around 10:30 headed to bed. Soon I discovered the pack of dogs next to the resort barking like crazy. I must have been tired because they didn’t keep me up too long and it is good that I got some sleep because there are several very early rising roosters next to the building. Not only did they wake ... read more

This trip was short but nice and relaxing. We made a date with a Cebuana friend beforehand to ask her about where she was from and any insider hints she might have. She taught us a handfull of the local Visaya language which was greatly appriciated during the trip. I took off afterwork on Thursday and arrived at about 2am. Mr. Kim a really nice man was our escort since we arranged the trip through a Korean travel agency. We didnt really care to do all of the touristy things that he had planned for us but since the all inclusive trip was less expensive than the airfare alone it was no brainer. He took us to our hotel which was really nice and on the water with one big infinity pool and 2 other pools. ... read more

Spent a few days on Mactan Island, not my favourite place so far in the Philippines! Very expensive beach resorts which are isolated from any contact with local people. At least the weather was good! about the only thing which was!... read more

Published: March 13th 2009Asia » Philippines » Cebu » Mactan IslandIt’s more then half way through my internship here at Bigfoot and things seem to be slowly getting underway. Well, I have to admit as of this point into this week; I can’t really recall much of last week in chronological order as my previous blog. So as I write my story which seems to be an endless supply of impulsive and random moments that have accumulated over the years, I continue to document them all and laugh about it along the way. So to start off from my music video shoot dating back nearly two weeks ago already, I start off by saying I’m terrible at remembering what I did last week but seem to master long term memory as if I’m a scholastically inclined prototype that can recite the entire dictionary from A-Z ... read more
It’s been a week already since I was on Mindanao and already going into my fifth week here in Cebu for my internship. This past week was pretty relaxed to start off with, had a couple meetings with the Fashion TV department regarding shooting and also with concepts. We finally had a shoot last Thursday inside sound stage one with one of the fashion interns from India, and I also did a few scenes for a student here working on his director debut music video. So I guess I shall start back from Monday leading up to today which is again another Sunday evening, listening to Jennifer Rene’s “fall to pieces” by Jonas Steur on In Search of Sunrise 6 Ibiza. I do like to include some of the music I listen to when I ... read more
