Saturday was a very wet and rainy day, the first yucky day in a long time so we thought a good day to go to the indoor shoe market to get new school shoes for Matthew. A very good trip, we came out with new school shoes plus a new pair of shoes for Andy and 2 pairs for me!! And it was a quick and painless time there!! Then we went onto the Botanical Gardens in Teda. We have been past the building a few times but haven't been able to get a taxi there so we thought while we had our Mr Lv we would have a quick visit!! We have been living in China for 3 months now......time has flown by. There are a few things that have amazed me in this time spent here but the biggest thing is how people are so friendly, greeting me on the street with a friendly hello and smile and when in the supermarkets or shops the staff are always welcoming and when they serve you at the till they always make eye contact, smile and say hello and always a thank you. There have been so many times back in England when I have been shopping in Asda or Morrisons and the staff are grumpy, hardly ever make eye contact and never say "that will be £10 please/ thank you" These little things to make a BIG difference! Today Matthew is going to write a blog about our mummy and Matthew day out!! He has lots to tell you and photos he has taken to show you!! Today I went to Polar Ocean world with mum. We saw penguins swimming. we saw some pretend penguins like the Fiordland Penguin, and the Little penguin, We saw a map of where the different penguins live in the world. We saw 2 polar bears. we watched them eating fish. We saw some Arctic Foxes. They are white. While we were looking in the shop we saw millions and millions of school children!!!!!!!! .! .I played stomp on the crab game !! I really enjoyed the touch pool. It has been a busy weekend!! On Friday I decorated lots of eggs ready for our Easter Egg hunt on Sunday. The boys had a great time reading the clues and searching all over Green Park for them!! While we were hunting for eggs the Easter bunny followed behind us and left lots of little treats for Matthew and William!! In the afternoon we went to our second birthday party, one of Matthew's new friends from school. The whole class was there and it was nice for the boys to play with their new friends!! wow........the colours are amazing!! All of a sudden spring has sprung!! The weather has turned warm and the trees have the most amazing colours of blossom, so many different shades of reds and pinks and the smells are lovely. It is a very pretty time of year. We went to the Ancient Culture street last weekend. It was really busy but we saw lots of lovely things but next time I think leave the boys at home!! I found lots of stalls with colourful beads and Jade but William was not keen on stopping to look! The smells of foods all around was yummy, Next time....!
