Where do you get your information about Hainan

I am moving to Hainan and I am trying out figure out where people get their information about the island if they are planning to travel there.

As a native English speaker I have found it hard to find many resources about the island of Hainan, Chinan. I've tried trip adviser and things of that nature but it is still difficult to find good restaurants, site seeing, and things like that. I hope you can help me out. If you were a native English speaker wanting to travel to Hainan, where would you look for information? Any resources could help.

You do get a lot of hits when you use Google. Just enter Hainan and you will have lots of stuff to sort through.

Some expat forums may be helpful.

For traveling I get most of my information from trip advisor for "touristy" activities. But the DAILY NEWS can give you a summary of Hainan, and SCMP (South China Morning Post) is available for most of South China! But I'm not sure if you can access everything on SCMP from Chinese wifi, so its best to get a VPN (if you haven't already, since you're planning to move I'm assuming you already know what's up.
