Hey folks, I wrote this blog four days ago I am writing this blog from Sevilla. I just bought two tickets for tomorrows Corida and Chloe thinks I am a bit too excited. The last week was another great one, during which we visited the remains of a great Roman castle, dare to swim in the Costa del sol, watch at sunset one of the world most majestic building, the Alhambra and flew to Africa for the first time in the last five years, the very first time for Chloe, to visit the city of Casablanca. The last time I wrote a blog, we were about to leave on our very first night train to Granada. However, things did not work like we wanted them to work. The train was delayed for three hours because they ... read more

26 February, 2010 We arrived back in Barcelona to a bright sunny day. We decided not to go on any excursions because we had heard via the news that there was to be a big storm coming through Barcelona and also Noel developed a head cold, so we just spent the day on the ship, moving from place to place as they disinfected the ship, due to all the new passengers coming on board. As it turned out, it was a perfect day, probably in the 70 degree area. (just think for a couple of hours we were almost the sole paying passengers, kinda nice) After the new hoards got on board, the ship was filled to capacity, we got underway at 7:00 pm, off to Casablanca. 27 February 2010 This was a day at sea, ... read more

Alas, unfortunately our last morning in Marrakesh had arrived. Had I the opportunity to re-plan this trip I might have stayed in our Riad another night and done a day-trip to the coastal town of Essaouria, but the cheaper flight out of Casablanca was enticing and would allow us to see the infamous city. I had enough Euro on me to pay the hotel, but we would need to take our more cash to pay for the taxi to the train station and whatnot, so after breakfast we took a quick walk back to the square before our taxi arrived at 10:15. We got to the station in no time and had ourselves an espresso at the station while waiting for the train to come. The train itself was nice enough and brought back memories of ... read more

Geo: 33.5756, -7.6178Christmas Day! And what did Santa deliver to me today? Some mild gastrointestinal distress - perhaps from the cream sauce served with our shawarmas last night. I can't complain as it was an extremely mild case, barely anything more than indigestion. According to the guidebook, NOT having any problems while in Morocco means you've been left out. But I'm still unhappy with Santa - this is the fourth consecutive year that I've asked that he leave me a Spanish senorita in my stocking, but he continues to ignore me. I believe this is the fourth straight Christmas Day blog that expresses my dismay with the old man! We packed up and headed out to hail a taxi for the train station - Christmas will be spent in Casablanca! The driver asked for 50 dirhams! ... read more
