NEXT STOP...........Rio de Janeiro. After our very long bus ride and several stops at juicy meat restaurants, we made it to Rio. We were in luck, Nadja spoke to an old friend who lives in Rio and they invited us to their luxurious flat on the Copacabana, the place where music and passion are always in fashion. This family even has an elevator that comes right into the house.NNIIICCEEE!

We had an absolutely fabulous time at their place. On the first day we went straight to the famous beaches of the copacabana and Ipanema. The weather on day one was great. The beaches filled with thongs, thongs and more thongs. Beautiful toned bodies everywhere. Brazilians love to flex their muscles and play football on the beach. On a good day you can see the makings of new Ronaldos on the famous sand.

Daniel and Betinha took us out to a nice horse racing club. The club has everything from fitness centres to Saunas.

"Wanna go to the Sauna?" asked Daniel

As if Brazilians don't have enough heat? Yes why not...weather was crap today so it would be nice to heat up!

After blasting ourselves with heat in the steam room and the Sauna, we cooled down with some Brazilian style Iced tea, then went to the restaurant for a lovely meal. Apart from Arthur (9 month old baby) throwing up over the dinner table the evening was smashing!

Obrigado Betinha, Daniel and Arthur for making our trip so special. We hope to come back soon!
