Another Easy Day!

Although today was another rest day, I had to get up early to call my travel rep, re the Miami hotel issue. I have checked out the alternative accommodation and it appears that they have actually down-graded me. I was booked in a 4 Star hotel with bed and breakfast, but the one they have put me into a 3 Star hotel with room only.....lucky that I have done my homework, eh? I have chosen another 4 Star hotel which is really plush and have insisted on an Ocean view!!!! Because of the time difference, and the UK doesn’t work on Sundays, I should find out on Tuesday morning if I have got what I want. Let’s just say I will kick ass big time if I don’t get what I want. Never know, all this hassle may work out in my favour, just a pity that I have to deal with this whilst I am on my dream holiday. But I am still having a great time though.

Today I had breakfast at the hotel, mmm, that French bread is nice. I won’t have time for breakfast tomorrow as I am going to Aquatica, which is SeaWorld’s new waterpark......lots of cool water slides!!!!!!

I took another walk up International Drive today and looked in more shops and took loads more photos. I also went to Wonder Works, which took a couple of hours. It is in the upside down house opposite my hotel and consists of lots of interactive exhibits.

Dinner was at Pizza Hut tonight. I ordered a small kids size pizza, I just don’t think I could have coped with a standard size. I ordered a pudding, thinking I had space for one, but it was HUGE and it could have easily been for 4 /5 people!!!!! But it was delicious - warm flat rectangle doughnut covered in warm soft chocolate and nuts, yum yum yum!!!!!!! ! I ended up taking most of it away in a take-out tray......I am sure Portia will help me eat it when she gets here. Out of the 6 evenings I have been here, I have only eaten out 3 times. So much to do here that you don’t really need to eat, which makes a change for me, after all, I love my food.

Hey Lu, Its a shame to hear about your hotel problems!! I must admit when I went to America in the summer it was exactly the same! No one seems to know what to do and my stay was fraught with problems! I'm sure if they've down graded your hotel you should get some sort of refund along with pushing for a better hotel! :)

Hi Hakz, sorry to hear that you had the same problem with your hotel, isn't it a pain! I called my rep this morning and it seems that the UK are still determine to give me the hotel which is a down-grade and not willing to upgrade me. I am now waiting for a manager from the Uk to call me. I hope it all works out the for best. :-)

Hi Jem, yes, my holiday is great so far (with the hotel issue aside), I am so glad I put my itinery together, I certainly have been able to make the most of my time. I can't wait to see you when I get back, it has been about 4 months since I last saw you!!!! Portia will be here this afternoon, I will tell her you said hi. Miss you too. Lu. xxx.
