What do think of when you hear Java ?? A software platform, developed by Sun Microsystems ? Cup of coffee ? Jabba the hutt from Star wars ? On our mission to colonize Indonesia, we just reached Java, the 5th larges island of the archipel. Java acts as Indonesia's center of cultural and economic activity, most prominent features are coffee (Java is a paradise for coffee junkies and can be considered the 4th biggest exporter for the famous gourmet robusta coffee, formerly known as liberica and arabica), vulcanos embedded in pitoresque bizarr unreal appearing landscapes which don't even think !!!! about giving up smoking as u can easily can make out from the pix. Even more they erupt from time to time, when the gods (or Allah) are getting angry. What else ... ah yes, Warungs, small foodstalls offering delicate rice and noodles dishes in many variations. Like almost all the other islands, Islam has spread into Java long ago which makes it sometimes difficult to catch some sleep bcoz the muezzin calls the faithfuls to prayer 5 times a day/night. People in Java are extremely welcoming and friendly, so easy to have a chit-chat anywhere, cities are very buzzing like in all over Asia, a peculiar charme is emerging from the mixture between old ancient Java, the modern economical rise and the remains of the (mainly) Dutch, Birtish and Portugese visitors.
We are no slowly heading west to Sumatra, the plan is to hop on a plane on Sep, 15th to Darwin, Australia. For the time being we very much enjoy the last remaining magic moments in Asia before we have to say goodbye and replace Nasi Goreng & Co. with Kangaroo BBQ.

Volcano for me too !!
Enough is enough !! you have tried so many times to make us jealous with your trip (and you very unfortunately succeeded) that I took the excuse of the very first customer who paid (yes Sir : entirely paid !) a training session in Guadeloupe, to see a volcano myself !!! unlucky that was in the middle of the hurricane season (I just escaped Gustav and Anna). And La Souffriere was in the clouds as She is 10 month a year ... Anyway, My trip was great. I've hicked and dived in marvellous places !! AHHHH what do you say about that ??? (next sesion is in Reunion Island. I think I will designate a victim to go there : myself :) Have fun, and jump high with teh kangaroos

well well i hope you folks are finding yourself in the kangaroo pouch warm and in the best of health ....so how is it been going so far ..did you manage to take an autograph from spiderman ? or did he sting you ?? i have started off with my nite duties ..the little one is doing well and keeps us busy most of the time..so did you take a boat or did you swim across to Darwin ? do write in and update us with some latest pics.. cheers, mahe
