Bienvenidos ! Last station Colombia, we recharged our batteries in La Boquilla, a lovely small fisher village by the Carribean Sea near beautiful Cartagena and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in Colombia which has suffered from severe serious issues in the very past, mainly in the sector human rights. Luckily and impressively, the situation has massively changed for the better, thanks to President Uribe. We can only encourage everybody to visit the country, we promise you'll get enchanted immediately. Bogotà, a class of its own, people are fun-loving, cusrious and always muy amable. A perfect finish for our trip ! Right now we are again freezing like chickens in a fridge in good old Germany, we didn´t expect it that cold ... fortenately we brought the sun in our hearts :) We want to thank everyone for accompanying ... read more

Good Morning everyone .. no, it's not Morning time in your place, well at least it's always Morning somewhere on the planet. Hmm... let´s see where are we ... we just finished our trip through Ecuador. Ecuador is the second-smallest country in South America, but its range of offerings is no less than astounding. In one day’s drive you can journey from the Amazon Basin across glaciated Andean volcanoes, down through tropical cloud forest and into the sunset for a dinner of ceviche on the balmy Pacific coast ... which of course we all did, and much more as u might reckon :) Plenty of options, no matter if you are adrenaline junky, culture maniac, a great fan of nature or just think that people are the greatest fun (which is sometimes more than true). Buenos Dias a todos! How is life in the real world ? Guess it's rough 'n rude, so we better enjoy travelling which doesn't mean it's fun all the time. We hope everybody is in good health and the daily news are getting better. It's been a while since we posted our more or less valuable remarks and pictures, we reckon it's time again to feed you with some more fairytales. Three weeks Bolivia, we almost pulled all slots. Bolivia, situated in Central South America , quickly caught our attention, is a country of superlatives. You'll find the world's biggest biodiversity, The western highlands of the country are situated in the Andes Mountains. The eastern lowlands include large sections of Amazonian rainforests and Chaco. Lake Titicaca, world's highest navigable lake s located on the border between ... read more

Queridos Amigos, did you have a kick start into 2009, or are u still heavily afflicted with severe hangover syndroms since new years eve ? Certainly not, I guess business as usual is dominating our lifes all over already again. Same for us, well not really, let's put in the famous 'same same but different' phrase. We corssed the border to Paraguay on the last day of 2008 and stranded in one of the unpretentious cities of the world, called Encanarcion. While being there we took the unique chance to celebrate the most unsensational new years eve EVER ! The expression 'celebrate' might be a little displaced to really express what happened, or should I say, what didn't happen. But ... (as usual there's always a but), we found amusement and looked positively into a brighhht ... read more

Chicos y chicas, gringos y gringas! ¿Cómo estan? Tenemos un rato grandioso en la Argentina ... in other words, we're enjoying very fruitful moments with the Gauchos, Mariachis, Panchos, Nachos etc. in lovely Argentina. After spending a few days in Buenos Aires, we saddled our horses and headed west, straight into the Cuyo region, west-central Argentina. By chance we picked the province Mendoza nearby the famous, imposing Andes and spent 10 days in the capital to spoil ourselves with the finest wines and world-class bife de chorizo and feed ourselves with la lengua argentina. Argentina has really experienced tough times in the past and the proud diva hasn't been treated well all the times .. but she's doing well and u can fell it in the streets. Once ruled by the Inca empire, then colonized and ... read more

Winter is slowly approaching in your hemisphere, provided you are based north of the equator. So, don't give coldness much of a chance, keep your hearts warm. Yep, still floating thru NZ, still tryin' to find out why people make such fuss about it. Kia Ora dear people (meaning Hello in traditional Maori) ... After gunning through the north island of NZ we learned that the ancestors of the Māori were a Polynesian people originating from south-east Asia. Some historians trace the early Polynesian settlers of New Zealand as migrating from today's China, making the long voyage traveling via Taiwan, through the South Pacific and on to Aotearoa (New Zealand). The name "Maori" originally meant "the local people", or "the original people". First european settlers from Australia and Great Britain arrived around 1790, These first settlers normally established peaceful relations with Maori communities - they had to, if they wanted to maintain lucrative trading relations. As of today, the "white people" plus a vast amount of asian migrants are living amongst Maori and accepting Maori lore and conventions, communal living ... read more

.. and much much more to discover down under. G'day all you happy people around the globe, thx for tuning in. Today is our last day in Oz and we have to admit, we're a little sad. Although we drove more than 10,000km, from Darwin thru the Kimberley further west, then down south along the west coast via Perth, Adelaide to Melbourne we might have covered only 1% of the country, but we have an idea of what's the fuss about. It very much surprised us how diverse the country can be, it has plenty of faces, landscape varies dramatically, one might be faced with extremly inhospitable and dry bushland, stunning coastlines which provide fantastic rich marine life or green blooming juicy fertile valleys in the south and many facettes in between. Radical changes occur during ... read more
