The heater doesnt workso make sure to bring enough firewood for the chimney. Oh yes, you oughta know that it can get freezing cold in WA.
.. and much much more to discover down under. G'day all you happy people around the globe, thx for tuning in. Today is our last day in Oz and we have to admit, we're a little sad. Although we drove more than 10,000km, from Darwin thru the Kimberley further west, then down south along the west coast via Perth, Adelaide to Melbourne we might have covered only 1% of the country, but we have an idea of what's the fuss about.
It very much surprised us how diverse the country can be, it has plenty of faces, landscape varies dramatically, one might be faced with extremly inhospitable and dry bushland, stunning coastlines which provide fantastic rich marine life or green blooming juicy fertile valleys in the south and many facettes in between. Radical changes occur during transition of seasons. So make sure you're in the right place depending on what are u up to. Once arriving in a big city like Adelaide we very much appreciated the refreshing distraction (i.e. after crossing the Nullabour Plain which is a huge flat area, almost treeless country, stretching from Westren Australia to South Australia), but we lost our hungry hearts in the small places
Cowboys at workwhich means, light a big campfire, get yourself a can of beer (Oz beer MUST be very cold and FULL STRENGTH) and try to look professional. Whatdoyouthink, do we ??
in the middle of nowhere, where you instantly feel like being beamed back into 1962. We came across some funny creatures, wombats, Koalas, roos which were all nice to us. Tony has made many acqaintances with beef of different kind, the favourite was Rib-Eye Steak (btw, if u take a closer look at the country in the map, doesn't it look like a real good rumpsteak ?) Yeah ... funny, I know, as we always are :) So, that's it for the moment, setting off for New Zealand tomorrow, the land of the hobbits.
Catch u around folks, Tony aaaand Iriiiina
Irina the wombat caretakerThis little fellow needed some help & shelter which we provided. In the meantime he's a full-grown animal, we decided to release him so that he can pursue family and bizz opportunities in the out

No country for veggiesSteak for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We really think about starting a serious cattle business in Europe (maybe a steak-house).
Limestone paradeHave u ever heard about the 12 apostels ? You shall find them along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. An interesting side detail is that this region claims most of the ship wrecks worldwide.
Billy the killer antDid u know that the 12 most venomous animals are based in Australia ? Billy was a good guy, he protected us.
