Wow so it's April 6th and it feels like it's about 30 outside with the humidity...and I thought Niagara was bad! I have done sooo much walking this weekend and come back with my clothes soaked! I'm out there dying in a t-shirt and the Koreans are walking around in black suits and sweatshirts...um...ok! At least there is a somewhat cold breeze that blows by you once in a while but other than that my god it's hot!
Yesterday I ended up walking to Duryu park to see the cherry blossoms and let me tell you pictures do not do them justice! As I walked towards the one mountain you could see the tree's in bloom from miles away...I guess it's due to the fact the rest of the mountain is brown from winter still but that doesn't make the cherry blossoms any less beautiful! Anywho I walked down this sidewalk that had beautiful fountains and lined with Cherry trees and it was almost fairy tale like as the petals fell onto the cobble stones being chased by small children and teens in school uniforms! From there it was about another 2 miles to the actual park. I passed a huge Buddhist temple and then headed up the side of a steep hill with steps made out of logs.
The park was very busy with families and agima's out for a nice Saturday walk. I didn't stay long as it was a little too crowded to really enjoy the sights I walked back to my area and went through the market. I bought some new stuff for our kitchen as we had 2 spoons, 1 fork and no dinner knives. Our big knife was also dull so I picked up another one of those. Claire will be happy when she gets back from Seoul! I also got some more red pepper paste (mmmmmmmm) Dove shampoo and conditioner which should last me a few months! I cleaned my room and reorganized things, it's starting to look a bit more like my room, although I would like a new comforter...I attempted to inquire about one yesterday but I didn't have much luck!
Today I headed down to Home Plus to do some vital grocery shopping as we had no salt or pepper and some various other things that I won't get into because who cares right!
I ended up straining my back like a moron because I thought it would be smart to just grab a basket instead of a cart and it was too heavy! oops. I made it home nonetheless and am now trying not to move too much, gotta be spry for the kids tomorrow morning!
Oh before I forget. I learned about a particularly funny Korean urban legend. Apparently you can die if you leave a fan on in a room without a window open! And this is taken quite seriously here so that being said currently I am risking death! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_death
Anyway have fun reading that!

death by fan????
You've slept with a fan going in your room for the last 7-8 years, so you must be some kind of superhuman!!!!!!
