Just to explain, the Thai use "same same but different" when dealing with tourists' questions. As this doesn't make sense if not fully explained it confuses (and very often frustrates) foreigners e.g. why are you telling me that the tour you're offering today is same same but different to that tour tomorrow?!.

it means 'Yes, something kind of similar to that, but not the exactly same thing' just like in the following example:
- So the bus at 9am to Bangkok is full, is there another bus leaving today?
- Yes, same same, but different.

P.S. There will be at least one more entry with photos from Thailand.

swimming there didn't appeal to me, it was rather muddy (especially when tide was low) and shallow for meters and meters..... this particular beach wasn't good for swimming and that's why we decided to go to some nearby islands

Pad Thai (fried shrimp, veg and noodles) for an equivalent of 50 pence. It was my first and last Pad Thai - too oily (and sweet) as for my liking

on this one-day trip from Krabi we got to visit 3 beautiful islands (unfortunatelly packed with dozens of other tourists visiting the islands just like us...)

there were some jellies so we had to be careful when swimming but annoying sea lice made me get out of the water anyway....P.S. snorkelling was supposed to be good there (they always say so!) but it wasn't ......

it was pretty good, just way too much sugary (Thais love adding sugar to absolutely everything, drinks, fruit shakes, savoury food, milk, etc) They tend to sweeten savoury food and add things like corn and red beans to desserts! (i also tried red bean-flavoured ice-cream)

the biggest and the reddest sun i've ever seen was in Krabi (just before sunset, not this one though)
