my first Thai meal from a streat stall

Pad Thai (fried shrimp, veg and noodles) for an equivalent of 50 pence. It was my first and last Pad Thai - too oily (and sweet) as for my liking

Just to explain, the Thai use "same same but different" when dealing with tourists' questions. As this doesn't make sense if not fully explained it confuses (and very often frustrates) foreigners e.g. why are you telling me that the tour you're offering today is same same but different to that tour tomorrow?!. it means 'Yes, something kind of similar to that, but not the ... read more
