Places to go in Santorini

We intend to go next year, by the end of April, to Santorini and stay 3-5 days... we're not the sedentary kind of people, like to go and see as much as possible... any suggestions?...
... is it a good idea to rent a car?
... any idea of a cosy accomodation?
... if 5 days are too much for a small island which are the nearest and most interesting islands to go to?
... would appreciate any suggestion/info... thanks!

I visited Santorini. as I love Greece, I loved it as well. We visited Ioa - quite breathtaking place, so I would recommend you see it as well. The only thing really which i was not too keen on, were black beaches - the sand was so hot, that impossible to walk on without shoes and water did not look its usual emerald green.
As for renting a car - we rent it in Crete, yeah... that was quite an experience... oh, these goats! 😉, if Santorini would offer similar experience, you should definitely go for it. btw - Crete is a must! really. Palace in Knossos is fantastic and Samarian Gorge well worth seeing.

thanks a lot! As April is not such a hot month I hope we won't have any problem with the sand (I experienced that in the Canarian islands!)
I've bee in Greece (Crete and few other small islands), love it too so much that we made a sort of commitment to ourselves that no matter how many places we'll go to visit one year, Greece will be among them... as for the goats.... you are right, but finally you get used to them...
if you are interested, I posted lots of pics. from our journeys... and more to come from Greece... Reply to this
