Next destinations are Paris, Lisbon, northern Portugal and Galicia. My wife and I will start with three days in Paris -- an 'appetizer' trip, as neither of us have been there yet (other than changing planes at the airport on our way to Spain last year). Then to Braga, Portugal for part of the Holy Week through Easter -- it is known for its semana santa processions. Then Lisbon for about a week.
When my wife's vacation is up and she has to fly back home from Lisbon, I head for Porto to start a trek on the pilgrim trail to Santiago de Compostela. It is only about 250 kilometers, but I'm spending nearly a month at it, with one or two day stays in many of the towns/villages along the way. Plenty of time to do some serious photography.
