I am flying to Van in October and I only have 6 days. I will need to fly out of Van, unless traveling to Baghdad and flying out of there is an option (I dont know how or where to order airplane tickets from Baghdad). Also it seems a little dangerous to leave north Iraq and travel southward. Anyways, if someone can give me advice on a quick lovely trip plan for eastern Turkey and northern Iraq that would be great. If its really too little time to see both, then ill immediately go south from Van and spend most of my time in northern Iraq if I can only have one or the other. Any advice would be great. Thanks
Reply to this Hi, having been there a few months ago I would recommend not straying out of Kurdish Iraq. We were told over & over that we wouldn't live for long at all if we took a chance & headed further south. If you haven't already, take a look at my Iraq blog...
