Can you suggest any special places to visit with my family? Something of active leisure.

Reply to this I enjoyed going to Greenwich and the Royal Observatory.
You can take the ferry there - take the commuter ferry rather than the tourist ferry. It's less expensive, and, hey, you're going down the same river. While you are there, you can visit the Royal Maritime Museum, the Cutty Sark, the Queen's House, and take a stroll through the town. See my blog "I'm Ready for Prime Time."

Reply to this Besides the standard things I liked the walkway at the Thames from the Tower westwards on the northern shore of the river. I think I walked until around Westminster.
Reply to this I would suggest the View from The Shard which has an astonishing and iconic skyline and view. Also the Kensington Palace. There you'll know the past stories of the past royal residents. Surely, you'll love them.
