Oslo airport to Stavanger...

I was just wondering on a cheap way of getting from Oslo to Stavanger?

Is it really that long? I thought I read it took 5 hours to get there from Oslo? Does the Eurail Pass cover that route? I guess this is a general question, but does a Eurail pass cover all possible train routes in Europe? Or at least most of them?
