I am looking for female written travel blogs as part of my research for my university dissertation on female backpacking :)
I'm currently starting my university dissertation on 'the female experience of backpacking' as part of my Human Geography degree. I was wondering if anybody could suggest some detailed and honest female written travel blogs on this site to save me trawling through the 1000's of posts!
Thanks in advance,
Roz
Reply to this Feel free to read this years of mine which is myself and daughter backpacking.....oh and a mammoth!
Reply to this You can also read mine. I would also be happy to share my specific experience backpacking if it will help your thesis. I have never backpacked alone, usually with either a group of friends or with partner.

Rosamund,
I would love to hear how your research is going? Have you read any of the blogs recommended? I would love to read your dissertation when it is finished.

Reply to this In response to: Msg #198369 I travel alone, and have for years. While I don't consider myself a backpacker (I stay in hotels, not in hostels, and I take public transportation rather than walking and hitchhiking) I've had some great experiences as a woman traveling alone.

I travel solo and have been to India 3 times in the last year alone. I have traveled solo for several years and began doing travelogues lately.here are some countries that are very safe and others are quite tricky.I love solo travel because I can cover a lot of distance and use my own judgement. With others there is constant compromise and in dangerous places I don't find that helpful
