Hi,
I am planning a trip to Italy and Grecce, and basically looking for interesting proposals or a nice company. I will be starting my trip the 21 of May in Venice and will be finishing the 5 of June in Pisa. Somewhere in the mittle I would go for a few days to Greece. And in Greece the only place i am sure its a obligatory must seen for me is Santorini. And in Italy, for sure, i will be visiting Rome, Venecie und Florence. In Italy i would probably be traveling mostly with trains. And i am planning to take the ferry from Bari to Patras. That its basically what i have planned to this time. There are still many flexible dates and places to go.
I would be travelling alone but it would be bad to have a little company. Then anybody in Italy and/or Greece to that time of Year?
I speak Spanish (my mother language), English and German.
Keep in touch, Lina
Reply to this hi Lina,
it sounds a lot of stuff to do for the limited time you've got. If I were you, I'd concentrate either on Italy or Grece...and still I wouldn't think time's enough! Up to you....
Reply to this Lina,
I went all over Europe last summer with a great compny. They gave me the freedom to do all the choices without worrying about the actual planning. I started in London and worked my way through Europe in 2 weeks. I was able to see alot and get my monies worth. I know they have other travel options like greece or a couple of weeks just in Italy, so maybe that will work for you. If you want to check it out the website is www.contikiholidays.com
Take care and good Luck!

Reply to this Hi Lina,
Good choice! I must agree that 16 days are probably too little to visit both countries. Italy is awesome, you'll get to see some unbelievably beautiful ancient ruins in Rome, right in the center of the city. If you want to have fun with house music, beautiful people that get naked in the clubs and a lot of booze, head to Greece. The scenery on the Greek islands is breathtaking and Santorini is the right place if that's what you're looking for. You can dine under the candle light on a patio, about a mile above the sea (kinda hard to explain, but it's crazy).
Feel free to ask for more info, I'm from Greece and have been to Italy as well.

Reply to this 16 days is not enough time to see these two spetacular countries to it's fullest. You will have to pick and choose your destinations. With Greece being further south, maybe it makes sense to minimize your travel time by going to the Greek Islands closest to Italy. That would mean Corfu and then go on to the mainland. Rome is a must for obvious reasons. If distance doesn't matter to you, then of course seeing Venice, Florence, and Santorini would be the obvious picks to add to your itinerary.
