Thanks! My wife and I decided to spoil ourselves for a night at Barlovento, a unique hotel perched on a cliff on the Caribbean coast east of Santa Marta, Colombia. The guidebook described it as possibly the nicest place to stay in Colombia, and we weren't let down. There's only has five rooms in this building over the sea, and each one is open air thatched roof cabana. And despite being right on the Caribbean, the real show was the other direction, overlooking the lake and watching the sunset behind the mountains. We could have stayed there forever... but the money would have run out a lot faster... Reply to this
