How to leave it all and go travelling???

Hi Guys!
Recently I have taken a part in this competition run by Mercure Hotels in which you can win a trip around the world. I got in the finals, but the competition is tough. I can't even sleep at night any more because I want to win it so much! My entry video was okay, but I know I could have done it a lot better . . . here it is:
(I am so awkward!).

Anyway, I think my desire to succeed and go is turning into compulsion haha! I can not focus on anything else. I want to pack my bags! Even if I don't win I am certain I must figure a way to cut the strings and fly away! The looming realisation that I am slowly turning 29 and haven't yet travelled outside of Europe makes me want to . . . well do something about it. Money is such an issue. How do you guys do it? How to just turn the dream into memories? Reply to this

Well fingers crossed for the competition.

But if you are unsuccessful.....

Do you have any skills or experience that could be transferable to a job or a volunteer position abroad? If you have a degree you could get a job teaching English in South Korea or Taiwan that would pay for your airfare. There are schemes in Vietnam and Thailand where you pay a small fee and get trained as an English teacher, and then placed in a job. You would have to pay your airfare then though. And remember that you would need to live for at least a money before you got paid.

Since you are only 29, you are eligable for the working holiday visa in Australia or New Zealand and then you could work in fruit picking or in a bar or something like that. There are companies who will organise it for you for a fee. Again, you would need an airfare.

Coming up to the summer, you could get a job in a bar or in promotions in one of the resorts around Europe.

If you google 'work abroad' you will find lots of ideas!
