Welcome to Travelblog! North America is a huge continent with a well developed travel infrastructure, so no single "best way" to travel exists. The best depends on your goals, your budget, and the types of tradeoffs you're willing to make.

In rough order of popularity:
1. Airlines: The fastest method by far and very safe. Also expensive, often uncomfortable, subject to all sorts of delays, hard to find in rural areas, and stringent security checks.
2. Private vehicles: Make your own schedule and access almost anywhere on a high quality road network. Away from large cities, they are often the only method available. In the United States, road travel is deeply embedded in the culture and often an experience in its own right. Downsides are costly rentals (especially if under 25), quite slow, and crowded roads plus expensive parking anywhere popular.
3. Buses: Fairly extensive network and dirt cheap compared to other options. Also slow, sometimes dangerous, and stations are often in sketchy areas.
4. Trains: Many Americans look down on this option, but bloggers have used them and loved it. The scenery can be spectacular, and many chances to meet people. Slower than flying, faster than driving. The rail network is sparse compared to Europe, with many scheduled stops in the middle of the night.

Hiya, it probably depends on yoru timings and how much you want to see. But we mostly used airlines to get to the main location/city, then hired a car or looked at bus/railway routes once there to get around.

Some of the low cost airlines have good deals. When we were travellign there you got a 4th flight free on northwest airlines everytime you bought 3... and they were generally only around $100 anyway so pretty cheap. Reply to this

Unfortunately, airline flights in the US have become much more expensive in the last few years. The industry went through a wave of mergers that reduced capacity and allowed airlines to raise fares. All but Southwest have also tacked on dozens of fees that are nearly impossible to avoid, so the actual cost is usually $30+ above what the ticket says. Really annoying. Still the best way to get anywhere quickly, however, especially if the tickets are bought months in advance. Reply to this

If you travel a particular city in North America than you should hire a personal taxi cab otherwise you can travel with on top bus and it also depend on you that you feel comfort in which transportation. Reply to this
