Welcome to Travelblog! My honest suggestion, given what is happening in the US currently, is to stay close to home. COVID is raging in the South and Midwest, and traveling increases the risk of catching and spreading it. Also, most places now have a 14 day quarantine requirement, so it may not be possible to do anything after arriving.

Assuming you are taking the correct precautions and want to go anyway, the safest route will be I 70 to Denver, then I 25 north to I 80 West, then north to Jackson Hole. Winter snow closes passes in the Rockies, and the Interstates are most likely to be open. Reply to this
