Young man believed to be in his early 20s still unidentified 3 weeks after being hit by train NSW
B Posts: 745
Backpackers and Hostels are being asked to help identify this young man. It is believed he had not been in Australia long and may be a backpacker for the following reasons -
The man carried no identification in his wallet, which was empty except for an unregistered myki card that indicated he had travelled along the Williamstown and Belgrave lines in the two days before his death.
He was wearing a pair of jeans branded "Crocker", which are believed to be from Sweden.
Do you recognise this man?
"The data from the myki card indicated to us that he is not familiar with how to use the myki system, indicating that he is perhaps from interstate or overseas and hasn't been in Victoria very long," Senior Constable Bound said.
