Found: Melanie in Peru

Melanie got in touch with her family and friends in Peru...

Melanie is a 22 years old girl, thin, brown eyes and hair. She's from Switzerland. Her mother is Portuguese. She was travelling through sout america but contact is lost since January. She didn't made any movement on her banck account and we are very concerned. The last time she'd spoke to her mother, the phone connection was very bad and the only thing we know is that she wasn't travelling alone, she found a male companie, she was in Peru but was going to Bolivia on the next days. Since this telephone conversation we've lost contact. Not even her girlfriends are receiving e-mails as usual. Please if you know something or if you know somebody that can help us to find her, please send me an e-mail to <snip>.

Do you have a photo of Melanie? Maybe that will help somebody recognise her, and let her know you are worried and want to hear from her.

Interpol has informed us that there was a movement in the bank account of Melanie on the 5th March, ie on Saturday. Finally also informed us that the guy she was on the 25th of January is Columbian nationality, 25 years old and called as Henrique Perlaza Martinez. Finally we have hopes ... Reply to this

It actually happens a lot that people go missing and then show up later. Sometimes, they dont even realise that they have been reported as a missing person. Anyway, not everybody who goes missing is found, so I am glad to see that Melanie is safe and sound. :) Reply to this

That is so wonderful that Melanie is safe. Missing from Alberta are two young men. Andrew Strocher and Steven Nuendorf. They travelled by motorcycle from
Mexico to Peru. No one has been in contact since Friday. This is the day they crossed into Peru. Family is extremely worried as we suspect something is not right. Family is on the way to Peru. In meantime if anyone hears anything or is travelling in the area please keep your eyes open and respond if possible.
