Hi,
I am planning to travel to Doha (Qatar) next week for the first time. I want to know what are the attractions in Doha and if anyone can give an idea about a good hotel with an affordable price?

-Qatar is not that big you can have a tour in the city in 48 hours. I will recommend some good places to go to in the city like:
- Souq Waqif it’s a complete lack of Western brands and the most amazing smells of herbs and spices and you can find good restaurants to eat or Sisha its just perfect .
-The Museum of Islamic art.
- Khor Al Udeid.
Reply to this I just came back from Doha 2 weeks ago it was very hot however you can a have a gentle walk by the sea in the evening. In the morning stay in an air conditioned place under a roof , its summer time 😊 .I stayed in W Doha hotel really I was impressed with the level of service. its near to the City center. I personally regularly check out <snip> which offer some good deals every week or so. Khor Al Udeid is a nice place for adventure, unbelievably drivers but the dessert is terribly dirty.

I would second the Museum of Islamic Art, a fine collection. Due to it being summer, you will find that there will be a large availability of hotels - I use different third party search engines, just do a Google Search of "Doha Discount Hotels" and you will find plenty of links to different sites. It is also worth checking with some of the major hotel chains directly as they offer discounts for weekends (Thursday, Friday and Saturday night) and advance purchase.
