hey!
well i want to speak italian, so i wanna go there.
BUT, now there is my problem.
i'll stay there for a couple of months, but where?
where is a good place to stay?
hostels are to expensive for a long time like that.
how do i find a nice flat or appartment? and where?
also a studentflat seems cool to me, but how do i get in contact with other italian students?
i'm 19 years old and i live in the netherlands.
i hope someone can help me.
thanks anyway.
Reply to this I went to Italy for 5 weeks in Sept/Oct 2005 and had my 'home' in Florence. I rented an apartment (for almost one month) on www.rentit.it
This company also works with a language school, so you might contact them to ask if they can find you a fellow student to share apartment expenses, and I'm sure there would be a discount for language courses.
Having my 'home' in Florence was great. I had plenty of time to see everything I wanted, and the bus station, train station.. really everything.. was in walking distance. I traveled to Turin, Rome, Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, and Siena. It was a blast.
Also research the hostels. They may offer you discounts if you stay for a few days. The hostel in Positano had the most unbelievable views of the sea.
And being 19, the hostels are great for meeting other young travelers throughout Italy.
Have a great time! Buona fortuna e buon viaggio!
