Are 'student' admission prices for tourist attractions only applicable to university students, or anyone under 25 years old?
Hi,
I will be visiting Paris for a few days next month. Looking online at admission fares for tourist attractions, e.g. le Tour Eiffel, I see that there's an "Adult" price and a "12-24 years" price. Is the "12-24 years" price only applicable to university students (as it is in England), or to anyone within that age range ? I have seen it labeled as "Student (18-25 years)" at other tourist attractions, e.g. L'Arc de Triomphe.
Also, for the Musee d'Orsay it says:
"18-25 year olds who are citizens or long-term residents of an EU member state"
Thank you,
Selina

Reply to this Hi Selina - Welcome to the Travelblog forums.
I recall there being a "youth" (Jeunes) rate at many of the Parisian sites. Though I was also a university student at the time, I used my passport, rather than my student-ID, to get discounted admission at places like the Louvre.
Reply to this Hi Selina,
I think it will depend on the attraction and the country, I know that in the Netherlands, those discounts are really only for people with an official student card.
When I travelled I had an ISIC/IYTC card which I'd bought for about 10 euros I think (this was a few years ago) and that was an official student card which I could get discounts with, in Austria but also in the US for example. You have to be under the age of 26 for these cards, but you don't have to be a student anymore (for the IYTC)
