I'm heading to France this week; I have a Canadian pay-as-you-go cell phone. Can I buy a sim card in France for my month there that I can use on this phone? Thanks!

Is your phone a dual (or better quad) band GSM phone? Is it unlocked? If the answer is yes to both of those questions then you can use it in France. I did the same with my American quad-band unlocked phone and it took about five minutes and thirty euros at a mall kiosk, and I had a French phone number, easy peasy. Reply to this
