I am planning a trip to London, hoping to coincide with the royal wedding, any tips on the best bits to see?
Any do\'s and don\'t\'s?

Thanks in advance 😊 Reply to this

Hey,

Well with so much to do in London and not knowing what you like and dont like it can be hard to give ideas. But a good starting point for the first day is to do free walking tours, they go on a tipping basis and are excellent. These operate in most cities around Europe and a great way to get the low doen on a city and then going back to places you find interesting. Just type 'new free tours' in google and it should pop up.

Maybe a westend show as well.. Wicked and Phantom of the Opera are our fav.. The Museums around the city are all free dont forget.. British Museum is great and HUGE!

Camdem market is always a good place for people spotting and shopping also.. Well it is endledd in London really but you will not get bored.

As Chris & Diana said it's hard to recommend things to see & do without knowing what u like. There are absolutely loads of things to do, if sightseeing is your thing definitely see St Pauls cathedral, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square & The Tower of London. Reply to this

Hey Guys!

Thanks for the messages. I am definitely interested in hopping on a tour. I was thinking of doing a bus tour and hopping on and off, but I know these can be quite costly so i'm going to look into this FREE walking tour you've suggested!!

I think i will have to spend a day dedicated to museums.

St Pauls Cathedral- do you have to pay to go inside. I am very interested in visiting there.

Thanks again for the advice. Reply to this

St. Paul's Cathedral, like most London landmarks, is horribly expensive to enter. You might enjoy a walk in St. James' Park, by Buckingham Palace.

I wouldnt go on a walking tour it would take too long, I would book one of the general bus tours. A general tour will drive around the city and show you where most of the big attractions are and in doing so you will be able to get an idea of how far everything is from your hotel. Although I normally plan my vacation well in advance so I will know what I will be seeing. I will then put a number of sites in the same area on google maps which makes it very easy to find my way around and also makes it easy to see many sites per day. My advice is figure out what kinds of things you want to see and plan ahead you will have a much better vacation that way. Reply to this
