Ski resorts near Basel-Zurich?
Day trip skiing from Basel-Zurich area.

Hello travelers!
I\'m planning on going to see a relative in Switzerland in the Zurich-Basel area. Now, I will have accomodation in that area and am wondering if anybody knows a good ski resort near by? My relative has recently moved there and doesn\'t ski so I guess I\'ll be going skiing by myself. I will not have access to any car while I\'m there so I would also be greatful for information about how to get to the ski resort. In other words it will be a day trip and I must be able to get there and back plus have time for some awesome skiing inbetween all in one day.
Advice anyone?

There's lots of ski resorts near Zurich and Basel, for big resorts try Davos, Engelberg and Klosters, which are all with an hour or so. For smaller resorts try Beckenried or Grusch. There's a full list here of <snip>
