Has anyone been asked to prove funds or return airline ticket when arriving in Australia?

Has anyone been asked to prove funds or return airline ticket when arriving in Australia?

I am wondering if they actually ask to see proof??

I am arriving in Australia in 2 weeks and I do not have quite the amount they are asking of $5000aud.

A friend called the immigration department in Australia on my behalf, they told my friend that because I already have the Visa they are satisfied that I meet the requirements to enter Oz.. So i'm really not sure, last thing I want is to be refused entry! Reply to this
