Hey guys, what do you think about mediterranean cruises?has anyone ever been on one?did you go with that big boat, with lots and lots of people?which places did you visit?
Reply to this Well I was considering a Med cruise, altho it is pretty pricey from where I live down in Aus. What put me off some what was a person commented to me, who had just returned from one, that it was'nt really cruising. Cruising at least to me means expanses of sea, waves and sunsets. On the Med cruises, so I'm told, is that you sail at night arriving at a new destination each day. Ok for site seeing I suppose.
Reply to this Hi,
I went on a two med cruises in the last couple of years and both were on P&O boats so lots of people etc. The volume of people is not a problem and as a couple being sat with different people every night at dinner was really refreshing - nice and sociable for you andd your spouse. If you are in bigger parties then obviously have your own table.
RE the destinations - I think a day in each hotspot is great as you get to see all the best bits whilst missing out the rest.....helps you to inform a future holiday choice! For example, I know I wouldn't go back to Naples but got to see Pompeii which was amazing.
Only problem is when on the boat, the Bay is Biscay is horrendous and makes everyone boat sick! Well worth it though! 😊
