Question about getting the Russian Visa.
Hello I will be traveling to Russia in early June and I want to know what is the best and cheapest way to get the Russian Visa and Invite letter. As I understand the Visa alone is not enough to grant permit to enter the country. Has anyone had to obtain these documents recently? Can you recommend me sites, agencies around Los Angeles?
Thanks,
Las
Reply to this I met a guy at the Russian house during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and he was working for the Russian consultant...
he organised everything for me...
the letter of invitation is hard to get...best way to do it is to get in contact with Russian...try the Russian embassy
Reply to this I was just in Russia for 3 months not (Nov-Feb) and got the invite letter from a friend and applied through a 3rd party as requested by the russian embassy in San Fran. Mailed it off and got it back fairly quick.

If you dont have a friend who can write the letter the hotel you are staying at can do it.
You also need to register in person at the local immigration office upon your arrival. I waited 6 hours in line to get this done.
If you have any other questions hopefully i can help 😊
