Next month, I'm going to spend a week after business meetings in Moscow.
I'm going to stay in City center hotel but I've never been in Moscow before.
Please suggestion:
- How to getting around in Moscow?
- Where I should visit?
- Where I should avoid for safety & security matters?
Thank you very much in advance and hope you enjoy your days wherever you are.
Regards,
Patrick
Reply to this Hi Patrick,
To get around in Moscow you're best off using the metro - it's crowded, but cheap. Not knowing what you're interested in I don't know what to advise you as far as places to visit are concerned, but Red Square/river Moskva/Aleksandrovsky gardens is a nice trip that will take up a couple of hours.
Moscow isn't as dangerous as it's made out to be, but be very careful with your belongings on public transport (don't leave your wallet, passport etc. where pickpockets can reach them), and don't go anywhere on your own at night.

Reply to this Hi Jon,
Thank you very much for your information.
One thing I'm curious about is going out at night. What if I go out for drinks at night by Taxi?
Cheers,
Patrick
Reply to this Get a (marked, official) taxi back to your hotel and you'll be fine.
