hi,
i am going to visit someone in frankfurt, germany and then another person in poznan, poland.
would it be fun for me to catch the train between the two rather than fly? are there things to see in between? fun to be had? and it is cost effective? any input appreciated. thanks Reply to this

DB timetable
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en
From: Frankfurt(Main)
To: Poznan
To: Frankfurt(Oder)

The main thing on the route is: Berlin. The most interesting city in Europe. But makes only sense if you can at least allocate 3-4 days for it.
From Frankfurt(Main) to Berlin the normal way is to use ICE trains. If you're not used to highspeed trains definitely something new. Maybe also fun.
From Berlin or Frankfurt(Oder) you can use the Berlin-Warszawa-Express to Poznan.

Please note that Frankfurt(Oder) is another city than Frankfurt(Main).

If you book in advance you can get Frankfurt(Main) to Belrin or Frankfurt(Oder) from EUR 29,00. You can book at earliest 89 days in advance. Berlin-Warszawa-Express from Frankfurt(Oder) to Poznan is EUR 20,00.
