Trying to find an easy way to get to Prague to Troja to wander round the palace and possibly zoo.
Only found out two ways of doing it so far: 1) Go to underground station which seems miles away and take either the bus there or tram. Either way, not keen on this as it relies on me either knowing where to get off lol or having to ask someone in English and do the bewildered tourist thing.
Option 2 is a boat which apparently goes to the zoo and back but takes ages getting along the river allegedly.
Help! Hoping someone has an option 3 or else can point out some giant landmark even I can't miss so I know when to ding the bell on the tram or bus to get off!
Reply to this Hi PJ, you don't need to worry about not knowing where to get off, all buses and trams in Prague have automated announcements which tell you at each stop where you are and what the next stop is. Trams also don't have bells, they always stop at each stop. The nearest tram stop to Troja is simply called "Trojská", on lines 14 and 17, and it's one stop from Holeovice metro.
