I dont know if I would want to watch it or not. I would need to believe it is at least safe enough to do so if I was to stay in that area. I would likely leave if there were safety warnings saying I should. I dont think much is worth risking my safety for.

Surprisingly, the crowd grows as the level of danger is raised from 3 to 4. Reply to this

I'm not sure if anyone here is from the Bicol Region (where Mt. Mayon is located). There might be an explosion anytime now. Definitely not safe to be in the danger zone! Like what the authorities said, if you're in the area when the volcano erupts, you're dead. People have already been evacuated. I think there were still lots of "Lava watchers" a few days back but as of the moment's news, the volcano is getting more and more active. Reply to this

I'm a few islands below the Bicol Region (if you want it more specific, we're staying right now in Negros Occidental). With the Siberian Winds blowing downwards, if ever the volcano does explode, we fear that the ash fall might drift towards us.

While this would result to legendary red sunsets, too much would stifle and/or suffocate the locals here (especially those with asthma and breathing ailments). Let us all just hope for the best. 😞 Reply to this

Got that right.

3 super typhoons over 2 months (correct me if I'm wrong), and now, a volcano. @_@

Absolutely right. We got more than our quota of disasters. Let's hope and pray everyone's kept safe, especially as it is almost Christmas. Reply to this

Actually the Philippines is the destination this Christmas of the vacationers to watch the natural wonder Mayon volcano but because the volcano spills lava that lead to the nearly eruption all plans are canceled. Authorities in the Philippines are announcing warnings and signals to prevent casualties to the residents and to the tourist around the Mayon.
