Im going to australia and i need to know what to do with my money!
N Posts: 3
Hey,
I'm 19 and im leaving for Australia for the year in 30 days time! I'm young and new to all this, so i'm just looking for a bit of advice for what to do with my cash.
Obviously i don't want to carry it around, so is there a service i can get from somewhere which will let me get a card like your average bank card back home? I've heard travelex is good but there rates are not!
So can anyone please advise me what to do?
Many thanks in advance!
Paolo

In Australia, there are ATMs everywhere, so if you have a card, then this will make it easy. See if your current card is attached to the Cirrus, Maestro or Plus network - they are all used here.
You are correct, Travelex have very poor rates, but thankfully there are much better alternatives - and plenty of them. Whatever you do, don't exchange cash at any airport, the rates are abysmal. Reply to this
