Online dating

Have you tried it? If so, has it been a good experience? Did you meet your partner online? If you haven't tried it, is it something you would consider?

Does anyone else check out online dating sites by the way ?

No, I never did that. I am a bit wary of them, in case there are lots of weirdos there. I have heard some stories from women who use those dating services. But, maybe there are ones with better reputations than others. What do you think about them? Have your experiences been good?

Are you in anyway officially associated in maintaining TravelBlog website ? Or is it that you have been made moderator by virtue of the 11,000 + forums posts you have posted ? ?

I had less than 100 posts and no blogs, when I became a moderator. I suspect that Ali noticed the 5000 posts I made on another travel site. 😉

does myspace count? haha
i don't think online dating is a very good idea. i'd prefer getting to know people up close and personal 😉

i have a feeling there will be an "online dating" thread

If I was single again, I think if I didnt give online dating a chance, then maybe I would be missing out on something. I have to admit that the internet brings me in contact with a broader range of people. But, meeting people I only know online with a view to maybe establishing a romantic interest in them still seems a bit weird.

Good idea! 😊

No need for correction. You are right. 😊

This is a travel site, where all kinds of topics such as online dating can also be discussed.

However, we wouldn't promote TravelBlog as a place to find dating opportunities, because this is not what TravelBlog is for. But, I presume Anshum knows this, and was only joking. 😊

Dear Mell

What do you think about them? Have your experiences been good?

Well actually being a student I don't get to register in actual dating because most require credit card. But I just check out the girls and interesting stuff in their profiles. You need to pay up to contact in most sites . But some actually allow free dating.. And yes as for reliability is concerned there are some reputable dating service providers who make sure the weirdos are kept away. For example the online version of 'The Guardian ' newspaper of the UK is one of them..
