We are trying to be there for around 12 days and want to spend multiple days at a nice romantic beach location, multiple days in Barcelona, and then perhaps several other days traveling around. We are young and don't mind camping or hostels if we can get a room to ourselves, and we are on a budget but also have enough to plan a good trip. Please help! | The Travel Camel Shane Dallas Post Count: 1024 Msg: #2 55 days ago, September 28th 2009 | If you have a car, then head into the Pyrenees, there is some beautiful scenery up that part of the world. You only have to travel a couple of hours by car from Barcelona and you are already in the foothills. | [Edited: 02:35 - The Travel Camel ] Rook42 Mark & Charlotte Post Count: 27 Msg: #3 54 days ago, September 30th 2009 | San Sebastian is a great Honeymoon beach town with what I think is the best food in Spain. You could do something like Barcelona - San Sebastian - Rioja - Leon - Santiago - Porto. Would be best to fly into Barcelona and out of Porto. | JenSA JenSA Post Count: 3 Msg: #4 52 days ago, October 2nd 2009 | I agree - San Sebastian is beautiful. Subject to budget, Hotel Maria Cristina is devine! | Mr Traveler Miko Smith Post Count: 5 Msg: #5 47 days ago, October 6th 2009 | Alicante is a great place too. It is located on the east side of Spain where you can find beautiful beaches. Honeymoon can't be perfect if beaches are not present. 3 of the best beaches are located here, they are San Juan Beach, Explanada d’Espanya and Saladares. Don't forget to rent a car because Alicante has many great places that you can explore and enjoy. | evalaviajera eva laviajera Post Count: 2 Msg: #6 35 days ago, October 18th 2009 | What about Costa Brava? It sounds perfect for you guys since it is extremely romantic, located by the beach, close to Barcelona (both are Catalonia) and full of campings. I highly recommend it :) lastminutetravel.com | [Edited: 10:39 - evalaviajera ] Number of Users: 6 | Number of Posts: 6 | ||||||||||||||
